Neuro-skeletal Re-alignment

Available therapies

Special points are lightly pressed along the central nervous system which activates the surrounding muscle group to relax. This allows the brain to tell the body to readjust the entire skeletal system into its correct position. This sounds impossible, but has proven time and time again to work where other forms of therapy have failed.
Because no physical pressure is applied to traumatised tissues, no damage can be done to nerves, tendons or muscles. The whole process is extremely relaxing and gentle. Most patients find that it is easy to drift off to relaxing music during treatments.

What happens at a session:
Neuro-skeletal re-alignment  is a holistic therapy that aims to treat the whole person rather than the symptom so before therapy starts the therapist will ask you questions about your health and medical history Then a postural analysis will be done with you to assess the way your body is aligned, sometimes the root cause of pain is far removed from the place it is actually felt.

You will be asked to take off your shoes and and  and to lie face down on the therapy couch where the therapy will take place. There is no need to remove any other clothing but it is helpful if you wear lose light clothing for the session, a track suit is ideal.

The therapy itself is not painful but is very relaxing, many client feel nothing but a deep relaxation while other may drift into a dreamlike state.

Normally the first session will take about 90 minutes including taking the medical history and filling in all the necessary forms, later treatments will be about 45 minutes although the appointment would normally be for an hour to allow you to review your progress with your therapist.

At any stage I will be happy to explain to you exactly what I am doing and why I'm doing it so please ask as many questions as you like, if there is anything I don't know the answer to I will try to find out for you.
